- Disc 1 (ca. 56 min.) 06/06/06. Kathy Arizmendi introduces Robert M. Abramson with some brief background; he describes his introduction to music lessons and to music; his education, both academic and musical; mastering his difficulties with reading music; his first Eurythmics teacher, Hilda Schuster; his interest in the original ideas put forth by Emile Jaques-Dalcroze; his process of earning the Dalcroze credentials; his teaching; discusses his writing; connecting movement to the creation of his music; the limitations he found in Schuster's teaching and reflections on current Dalcroze teaching.
- Disc 2, tracks 1-37 (ca. 37 min.), 06/13/06. Robert M. Abramson discusses Dalcroze's life and work and the many forms his teaching took; Abramson's own and Dalcroze's concern that the original Dalcroze methodology not be lost; the unavailability of Dalcroze's writing for most students and the disproportionate availability of material aimed toward children; the re-emergence of adult- focused teaching at select conservatories in recent years; other aspects of the Dalcroze teaching that he feels have been undervalued or lost; describes some basic Dalcroze exercises that form the backbone of the method.
