Summary
Political caricatures from the reign of George III, arranged by date, including satires on the retreat of Cornwallis from Seringapatam and the assassination of Gustaf III of Sweden. Other individuals portrayed include Edmund Burke, the Marquis of Lansdowne, Thomas Paine and Tipu Sultan. Catherine of Russia is satirized as Kate in Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew, assaulted by William Pitt as Don Quixote.
