Decorated all over with numerous figurative and floral tools; wide border on both boards with tools including the Evangelists, Gabriel and Virgin of the Annunciation, the Holy Spirit as a dove, the Lamb of God, eagles and six-pointed stars. Center panel on both boards includes figure of St. Jerome on a pedestal, beneath a canopy, with two angels, two female figures, and two bearded figures representing the Old and New Testaments; large carnation tools in corners of center panel; other tools include six-pointed stars and cherub's heads. Rebacked, with original gilt spine panels laid down.
