Summary The Romana Javitz papers contain correspondence, diaries, drawings and documents, mainly reflecting her personal life. The bulk of the correspondence consists of letters to friends and family, including letters to her parents reporting on her travels in Europe, 1925-1926, and personal letters to the noted physician Ernst Philip Boas, 1930s-1950s. Diaries, 1920s-1970s, chronicle her daily life, professional activities, travels and health concerns. Miscellaneous materials include personal papers and legal documents of Romana Javitz and her parents, Elias and Malvine, and some writings and drawings by Romana Javitz.
