· To Antonio Lega Zambelli, Lord Byron's steward and secretary : 1 autograph letter signed : 9 Nov 1821 : (B'ANA 0387) : from Bagnacavallo : in Italian; reporting on the health of Byron's child, Allegra, praising her character, and saying that she enquires after her father and her uncle [meaning Shelley]; asking Lega Zambelli to convey all to Byron.

  • Sister Marianna delle Vergine Addolorata (known in the world as Caterina Fabbri), Italian nun. She founded the Capuchin Convent in Bagnacavallo, Ravenna, which served as a fashionable school for girls of noble families. Lord Byron's daughter by Claire Claremont, Allegra, was brought to the convent in January 1821; she died there in April 1822, at age five.
