  • Joseph Hume, a clerk in the Victualling Office at Somerset House, London. Not to be confused with the radical parliamentarian of the same name, this Joseph Hume was a friend of Charles Lamb and William Godwin, and published a translation of Dante's Inferno for Cadell and Davies in 1812.

Joseph Hume, a clerk in the Victualling Office at Somerset House, London. Not to be confused with the radical parliamentarian of the same name, this Joseph Hume was a friend of Charles Lamb and William Godwin, and published a translation of Dante's Inferno for Cadell and Davies in 1812.
