- · To David Stewart Erskine, 11th Earl of Buchan : 1 autograph letter signed : 31 Jan 1794 : (MISC 0333) : from London : begins, "Accept, my Lord, this tribute of gratitude and my best thanks for the fresh instance of flattering attantion ..."; with the post-script, "Just as I was about to close this letter, your Lordship's much esteemed favor of the 28th was put into my hands. The Packet for Mr. Washington which your Lordship mentions, shall be forwarded by a vessel which sails tomorrow or next day for the Potomack -- on board which I have several things for the General."
