1 book object : cork, paper, photographic prints; 19 x 16 x 5 cm.
Summary
  • A "Buchattrappe" (decoy book or dummy book), i.e., a box in the form of a book, containing snapshots taken by the artist and a design drawing for a display stand.
  • Exterior of object apparently features front and back cover illustrations from 1955 ed., with title "El ingenioso hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha" and publisher information "J.M. Viader--San Feliu de Guixols." Interior contains a single leaf of text printed on cork, with headpiece and decorative initial and caption "Capitulo primero," printed in red and black.
  • "The prints, mostly snapshots of people at parties, exhibition openings and holidays, vary from copy to copy"--Koch. Photos. are chiefly color (a few are b&w) and are 9 x 13 cm. or 10 x 15 cm.
