- · Autograph corrections of Valerius, with corrected proofs : [circa 1842] : (MISC 0665) : 3 volumes of the 1821 edition with considerable manuscript corrections and emendations; interleaved, with proofs of the 1842 Blackwood's Standard Novel edition paste on opposite pages. Some further corrections done to later proofs. Shelved with bound manuscripts under "Lockhart."

With a postscript: "Please also to send copies done up in that form to the persons named on the other side . . ."; and a list of 8 people on the verso. -- 1 autograph note signed : 4 April 1842 : (MISC 0684) : 1 page (single sheet) : [no place] : begins, "Thank you. I have just come to town . . . ." -- Both letters bound in at the back of volume 3 of the revised proof copy of Valerius. Shelved with bound manuscripts under "Lockhart."
