Sir" : 1 autograph letter signed : 19 Jun 1833 : (MISC 3953) : from Peach Field Lodge : in the hand of an amanuensis; begins, "Unequal as I have been for some time to communicate my thoughts, but by the aid of an amanuensis -- my disability has greatly encreased, by the accident last week of being overturned in my garden wheeled chair which alarming as it was -- by the blessing of God, on the prompt means, used by Mr. Addison -- has removed the sense of danger ..." Mounted in the Agatha Hogsbottom autograph album. Shelved with oversized manuscript volumes.

- Apphia Lyttelton, Baroness Lyttelton, English noblewoman. Born Apphia Witts, her first husband was Joseph Peach, Governor of Calcutta. In 1772 she married the "wicked" Lord Lyttelton, who soon eloped with a barmaid and died in 1779, leaving her to sixty-one years of widowhood.
