- Summary
- George Henry Loskiel was presiding bishop of the northern district of the American province of the Moravian Church in the early nineteenth century. He kept this diary, titled "Extempore on a Wagon" in 1803; it was later published. The diary is a metrical narrative of a journey from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to the Indian town of Goshen, Ohio in the autumn of 1803. It was written in German by Sister Anna Rosa Kliest and is dated September 1803.
