- 1 print : engraving, etching with metallic pigment, col.; 30 x 45 cm.
- Summary
- Dance diploma depicting a man in military uniform, with a stick in the crook of his right arm, performing on a veranda before an audience of men in uniform and elaborately dressed ladies. An eight-man orchestra plays in a box at left. In the background are a balustrade, pillars adorned with bunting, and glimpses of buildings in the distance. The image is surrounded by an ornate border incorporating the words, reading clockwise from center, "Graces et décence. Légèreté. Vif au plaisir, ardent au travail. Agilité." The diploma's blanks for the names of the recipient and his instructor, his title, and the date have not been filled in.
