Summary
This collection is comprised of 8 volumes that document the creation and management of the Croton Aqueduct (1835-1884). Volume topics include: land acquisition for the aqueduct (1835-1869); disbursements for the aqueduct (1854-1864); meteorological register kept at Sing Sing (1868-1876), 3rd Division (1865-1867), and at the Croton Dam (1869-1875); a labor time book for the 8th division (1882-1883); and a profile map of the aqueduct created for Chief Engineer Benjamin S. Church (1884).
