Indexed In (note)

Source (note)
  • Lillian Moore.
Biography (note)
  • This print is a reversal of the image of Mlle. Laprairie in the pas grec, lithographed by E. Desmaisons after Guérard, and published as no. 2 in Les Annales de l'Opéra; ou Recueil des premières danseuses, in Paris in 1844. There are differences in the drawing of the dancer's face, the foliage on either side, and the structure on the hill, which appears to be a ruined Greek temple in the Laprairie print. A note in an unknown hand on the verso of this print states that it probably represents the dancer Pauline Leroux rather than Mlle. Laprairie.
