Summary
This volume contains minutes of court proceedings for admiralty and customs cases, admissions to citizenship, admissions to practice law, and proclamations from the Secretary of Treasury from December 26, 1796, to June 9, 1798. Presiding judges represented in the volume are Robert Troup (1796-1798), and John Sloss Hobart (1798). Proceedings of note include Aaron Burr's admittance to practice law, March 14, 1797; and Stephen Jumel's admittance to citizenship, May 29, 1797.
