Details
- Description
- 1 print : engraving, b&w; 19 x 13 cm.
- Summary
- Invitation with blank lines to be filled in by the host. It is illustrated with a depiction of the Greek deities Artemis (or her Roman equivalent, Diana), armed with bow and arrow, and her brother Apollo with his lyre, both striking the ballet position known as an attitude in a landscape setting. Their poses and simple tunics evoke the balletic style of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries.
