- Les maîtres de l'affiche was a monthly subscription series issued by Imprimerie Chaix from Dec. 1895 to Nov. 1900. The series comprised a total of 256 reductions of posters in authentic colors, issued in separate numbered sheets referred to as plates. Jules Chéret, the artistic director of Imprimerie Chaix, contributed most of the examples, but other major artists, among them Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Théophile Steinlen, Alphonse Mucha, and Maxfield Parrish, are also represented.
