- Genealogical papers assembled by George Edward Cockayne [Cokayne], dated approximately 1835 to 1902. Include copies of published genealogical works annotated by Cockayne, with numerous notes and letters from genealogists inlaid. Included are Burke's Genealogical History of Extinct and Dormant Baronetcies (1844, 1883) and Genealogical and Heraldic Dictionary of the Peerage and Baronetage of the British Empire (1841); Courthope's Synopsis of the Extinct Baronetage of England (1835), and Pixley's History of the Baronetage (1900). A few of the letters in the collection are addressed to Col. Chester.
