Summary
Three Syriac manuscripts, dating from the 17th and 19th centuries, which focus on charms to cure and protect against diseases, reflecting folk belief and folk medicine practices of the Eastern Syriac community. These charms were used to cure diseases, avert dangers and mischief, protect against danger and drive away bodily distempers. The volumes are numbered "No. 2," "No. 3," and "No. 4." Nos. 2 and 4 date to the 17th century; No. 3 dates to the 19th century. No. 3 is illustrated.
