  • Disc 1 (41 min.). Audrey Keane Hill discusses performing in the Broadway musical Courtin' time; her training while growing up in Jackson Heights, going to Manhattan for culture and training, dancing professionally with her idol Mia Slavenska at age 17; how Keane Hill learned about the audition for Courtin' time; the rehearsal process with George Balanchine; Balanchine shaping the dance score by developing the music with Dorothea Freitag (pianist); discussing the numbers: Today at your house tomorrow at mine, the Wishbone song and waltz, Choose your partner, Garden party scene, Johnny and the puckwudgies. Brown in leading role after Lloyd Nolan left; qualities she learned from Balanchine; working with Balanchine again for Boris Godunov at The Met; three photographs shown: Balanchine and Keane Hall looking at Boris Godunov score, Keane Hill in 1956 summer stock Call me madam solo, and posing in the Karinska tutu personally made for her to wear during various solo performances; her sweetest memory of Courtin' time and final comments about Balanchine and the show.
