Description
1 print : lithograph, b&w; 28 x 35 cm. +
Summary
Sheet music cover illustration depicting a scene from a theatrical work. A woman alights from a chariot drawn by large birds, possibly swans. She and her greeters, who include an elderly woman, a white-bearded man, and a dark-skinned man in oriental garb, all carry slender sticks which may be magic wands doubling as canes, possibly identifying them as fairies or other supernatural folk. A fountain plays immediately behind them, while in the sky a woman rides a dragon.
