- Summary
- Reproduction of a painting depicting a rather chaotic scene at a masked ball. Some of the participants wear fancy-dress costumes and masks. In the foreground, men in evening clothes and top hats enjoy flirtatious encounters with women. Other guests throng a stairway leading to a gallery. Although the setting is a ball, it is difficult to spot any dance movement amid the very dense crowd.
