- Summary
- The collection holds an assortment of letters and invitations written to Helen E. Brown. The majority of the letters are about her family and friends. Four letters are sent from undisclosed locations in France and Northern Ireland during World War II by a friend in the military who, among other things, comments perfunctorily about theater and music. The collection also contains invitations, including those to a reception for the King of Burundi, a 1967 tribute to Katherine Dunham, and the "National Conference of Support for African Freedom."
