Kay Brown Barrett (1902-1995) was an American talent scout and agent working in Hollywood and in New York, most famous for suggesting Margaret Mitchell's novel Gone With the Wind to producer David O. Selznick. The Brown Barrett papers document her professional life with scripts, photographs, correspondence, notes, and publicity materials. This collection also includes professional files on Brown Barrett's daughter, actress Laurinda Barrett.
