Summary
Former dancer and teacher Voan Savay speaks about her background as a dancer at the Royal Palace, her studies and roles she danced. She discusses her experiences under the Khmer Rouge, and her attempts to conceal her identity; her foundation and management of a dance troupe for children in refugee camps, and her efforts to instill correct dance style in refugee troupes. She speaks about being repatriated to Cambodia, and the loss of her dance materials in a fire; her immigration to France, and the dance groups she has trained there. Voeun Amrit speaks about how he began dancing, his immigration to France and work as a dancer there. Voan Savay speaks about her grandmother's role in translating dance manuscripts from Thai into Khmer, and discusses the past relationship between Thailand and Cambodia.
