- Brief letters from American poet James Russell Lowell to Henry Joseph Gardner, H. A. P.Torrey, and others, largely pertaining to engagements and other social matters. One letter to Mrs. Merritt (possibly painter Anna Lea Merrit) is written in verse and signed "Eternumque Sedebit." Also present are fragments from several lectures, circa 1894.
