Summary
Roger Machado was a pianist, composer, and conductor who served as musical director for the Spanish dancer José Greco from the 1950s until at least the 1970s. He also toured Europe as a concert pianist. The Roger Machado papers, dating from 1938 to 1946, contain scores for four of Machado's compositions, as well as scrapbooks and photographs documenting the career of the opera singer Norina Greco, the sister of José Greco.
