Description
1 streaming video file (63 min.) : sound, color.
Summary
Mikhail Baryshnikov and White Oak Dance Project perform Past Forward, a retrospective and celebration of Judson Dance. Live works alternate with video sequences created by Charles Atlas. Most works are bracketed with a quick description by its choreographer. Public participation is part of the program: local dancers and community members take part in "Huddle" and "The Matter". Footage is captured from the side, creating a unique (if sometimes visually problematic) perspective on the works. The content is Act II of this program. While WODP performed in Pittsburgh in November 2000, the day listed on the videocassette label does not match known performance dates.
