- Summary
- A collection of fifty-three manuscript legal documents relating both to close and more distant family members of Percy Bysshe Shelley, the English poet. Chiefly made up of large parchment indenture agreements, the collection documents: the leasing of land and homes (Wolborough Manor, Field Place, Castle Goring); marriage settlements; the granting of annuities; the 1791 settlement of the Shelley family estates; and a number of other transactions, dating as far back as the mid-sixteenth century.
