Summary
Edward Hume was an American actor who performed on Broadway and in touring theatre companies during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The Edward Hume photographs and ephemera date from 1892 to 1909 and document Hume's performances in the midwestern United States at the turn of the 20th century. The collection consists of cabinet cards and photographic prints showing Hume individually and in group portraits with his companies; the cover of the New York Dramatic Mirror featuring Hume; and a copy of a theatre weekly magazine from Salt Lake City, Utah with several articles discussing Hume's local performances.
