- Letter of unidentified subject matter, with a watermark date of 1795, addressed to "Mr Godwin / Polygon / Somers Town"; begins, "Unwilling to suffer the original which I have transcribed on the opposite side of the sheet to quit my own custody from a fear that if superfluous I am not inclined to consider as culpable, I have been perhaps superstitiously exact in retaining on the copy all the omissions and inaccuracies of the piece itself ..."; erroneously attributed to Mary Wollstonecraft by Wardle (no. 318) and Todd (no. 326), both editors having only seen a transcript.
