- The Mainzer Carneval-Verein songbooks date from 1878 to 1894 and consist of 19 pamphlets bound in one volume. The songbooks contain lyrics distributed during gatherings of the Mainzer Carneval-Verein in New York, an émigré extension of the Mainz, Germany carnival celebrations. Some songs are annotated with names and brief notes. All songbooks are in German.
