Summary
Henry B. Forbes (d. 1958) was a theatrical producer active on Broadway in the 1920s and 1930s. He also worked as an actor in the 1910s and early 1920s, performing with the East-West Players. The Henry B. Forbes papers (1917-1952) contain programs, clippings, contracts, business correspondence, and other papers regarding his theatrical work. Productions represented in the collection include Tin Pan Alley (1928), Schoolgirl (1930), Thunder on the Left (1933), The Wild Duck (1938), and Walk Into My Parlor (1940). The collection includes posters for the tryouts of Wild Birds (1929) and Schoolgirl, a scrapbook dedicated to Thunder on the Left, and a production photograph from Tin Pan Alley.
