- Lewis Archibald, a journalist who wrote for the magazine "Downtown," interviews American actor Jon Voight. Voight talks about his acting career, and the roles he played in various productions in the 1970's such as the role of Pat Conroy in the film "Conrack" based on the 1972 autobiographical book "The water is wide" by Pat Conroy, directed by Martin Ritt, public release of which is expected in March 1974; and others. He discusses his professional relationships with various film directors, producers and other actors with whom he worked. He also speaks about his family background, his children and the place they hold in his life.
