- Summary
- Radio interview with English conductor and violinist Neville Marriner, who talks about two upcoming concerts of the Minnesota Orchestra (whose conductor and music director he was, 1979-1986) in Carnegie Hall, New York, N.Y., November 7 and 8, 1980. Marriner also discusses his career as a violinist, and his experience working with various prominent musicians such as violinist Itzhak Perlman and pianist Bella Davidovich. Recordings of excerpts from various musical works, such as Handel's "The arrival of the queen of Sheba," Piano concerto by Mendelssohn, Elgar's Violin concerto, part of Divertimento from the Suite of Stravinsky's ballet "Le baiser de la fée", and others were played during the interview.
