Summary
National Conference of Artists records consists of administrative records, by-laws, and printed material, especially relating to annual national conventions. Of interest are two files containing printed material about African American artists. Other material consists of an "Afro-American source directory of visual arts" (1976), the introduction by the director of a youth conference (ca. 1978), a membership directory (ca. 1984), and a newsletter and a few items about the New York City chapter. The collection conludes with the NCA's two publications, "The Artary" (1984-1985) and newsletters and brochures (1980-2001, scattered).
