- A phone interview with Barry Tuckwell from Maryland, a virtuoso horn player, conductor and founder of the Maryland Symphony Orchestra, to promote their upcoming tour in America. The highlights of the interview are discussions of delights and challenges of his profession; the importance of learning to play the piano as a basis of musical education; the release of his new recording "George Shearing & Barry Tuckwell play the music of Cole Porter"; guest conducting and individuality of each orchestra; the financial side of running an orchestra; the importance of being critical; and ends the interview with the list of music works included in the program of the tour. The broadcast incorporates excerpts from Tuckwell's various recordings with a particular attention to the last disc.
