- Developmental Conference on Dance, held at the Santa Inez Inn, Santa Monica (Calif.), on November 24 - December 3, 1966 (first phase) and on May 28 - June 3, 1967 (second phase). A follow-up conference was held in Washington (D.C.), on May 25-28, 1968, but audio is not available for that conference. The conference was made possible by a grant from the U.S. of Education to the dance department at University of California, Los Angeles under the leadership of Alma M. Hawkins. The conference presentations and outcomes of phases one and two have been published under the title Dance: a projection for the future; the Developmental Conference on Dance, University of California, Los Angeles, California, Nov. 24-Dec. 3, 1966 and May 28-June 3, 1967, Impulse Publications, 1968.
