Vera Strelska speaks about her life and career including her (late) friend and associate Alexandre Gavrilov; the life of a dancer in the United States during the 1930s; first coming to the United States with her company in 1923; an anecdote about George Gershwin's offer of work; Bronislava Nijinska as an artist and as a teacher; male technique at the Royal Ballet; her thoughts on Rudolf Nureyev; her willingness to take any dance-related work as long as she was paid; very briefly, Leyda [Anchutina] Eglevsky; her creativity and resourcefulness throughout her career [ends abruptly but continues on streaming audio file 2].
