- Leida Snow interviews on telephone Jule Styne, a British-American songwriter especially famous for a series of Broadway musicals, which include several very well known and frequently revived shows. Styne talks about the 1993 Broadway production of the musical "The red shoes," with book by Marsha Norman, lyrics by Norman and Bob Merrill (credited as Paul Stryker) and music by Jule Styne. Based on Powell and Pressburger's film, it tells the tale of a young ballerina who performs in an adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen story.
