- Tom Scott was the music arranger and accompanist of Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians; both Keith and Sylvia Textor were prominent members of the group, and they acted in continuing short skit/song segments called "Keith & Sylvia" on the television musical variety program "The Fred Waring Show" during the 1950s. In this episode, Keith got into State College, but Sylvia, who already got in, is unsure of going; she wants to become a nightclub singer instead.
