- Summary
- This collection consists of an outline for a book by Robert Denvers on George Balanchine's methods of teaching classical ballet, consisting of a record of nine of Balanchine's classes between May 28 and June 5, 1976, and notes on "positions, steps, and principles." Included are photographs of dancers Merrill Ashley and Peter Martins, demonstrating techniques. The collection also contains notes on classes that Balanchine taught in 1979.
