- Summary
- Itemized bill, written by Benjamin Walton, steward of Wootton Hall, for various goods used by Rousseau between 22 December 1766 and 16 May 1767. Includes purchases of white wine vinegar, sugar, eggs, "two pound of the Best Raisings" [i.e., raisins], lemons, apples, candles, black pepper, butter, and other goods. With a statement of receipt at the end, signed by Walton: "July 21 1767 Received of Richard Davenport Esqr the sum of Eight pound Two Shillings Two pence Being the full contents of the above Bill."
