- Summary
- Notebook containing eleven manuscript poems, most apparently original. Some are in lament of the author's wife, Caroline, who died of childbed fever. Loosely inserted are six manuscript fragments and poems (two of which are copied into the volume); two poetical newspaper clippings; and a tattered sheet of used blotter paper.
