- Manuscript notebook made by an unidentified member of L'ordre du Lion, probably shortly after its founding. Contains a précis of the aims of the Order ("L'ordre du Lion a pour but la destruction de la puissance Anglaise . . ."); its statutes, in 14 articles; its projected command structure in France, based on regions given astrological code names and colors; a list of officers serving under Grand Master Édouard-François Simons; a ceremonial catechism; and a series of codes, passwords, symbols and ciphers for secret communications.

- L'ordre du Lion was a masonic brotherhood founded by French prisoners of war at the English parole town of Odiham during the Napoleonic wars. Established in 1808, their prinicpal aim was the destruction of England.
