Joel Munsell (1808-1880) was a publisher in Albany, New York. The collection comprises four letters regarding Joel Munsell's publication of The Wetmore Family of America by James C. Wetmore of Columbus, Ohio. These are: a letter from the author inquiring as to printing fees, a letter from a salesman as to copies sold; and two letters correcting and amplifying genealogical information in the work, one of which is a copy of a letter to James C. Wetmore.
