- Summary
- Collection depicts the personal and professional life of gay activist, poet and performance artist Assotto Saint (né Yves Lubin), from the 1980s to 1994. The collection consists of individual portraits, some of which were probably used for publicity purposes, of Saint, his life partner and fellow Xotica band member Jan Holmgrem, and friends and associates; group portraits, mostly publicity photographs, of his musical group Xotika, and a pair of unidentified young men embracing; and posthumous interior views of Saint's New York City apartment (1994) that includes a candid shot of family members, friends, and estate executors. The collection does not document Saint's activism or his literary career.
- Among the individuals depicted are George Bellinger, Jr., Jola Bernard Branner, Don Charles, Vinson German, Cary Alan Johnson, Steve Langley, Craig A. Reynolds, Robert Westley, and Arthur Theodore Wilson. Also depicted is a combined snapshot view of the 2010 Project Aids Memorial Quilt in Central Park, New York.
