  • Final prayer of pt. 1 is for the generic "N." Produced on the continent for the English market.
  • The book consists of two different parts, first a Sarum Hours of the Virgin, executed in Bruges in 1440s, and the second part was executed about ten or twenty years later in London, a Psalter, designed as an exact copy of the one produced in Bruges.
  • Layout: 24 long lines, ruled in red ink, some catchwords visible.
  • Decoration: Pt. 1: 23 large miniatures, 10 small miniatures, 7 small historiated initials in entire codex. 5- and 6-line red and blue initials on gold fields. 3-line gold initials on blue and red fields. 1-line blue and gold initials with red and black penwork. ; Pt. 2: Six large miniatures remain; two missing, 6-line blue and red initials on gold fields. 3-line gold initials on red and blue fields. 1-line blue and gold initials with red and black penwork. Rubrics, linefillers. Elaborate full borders around miniatures, partial borders on other folios.
