  • French translation and expansion by Sébastien Mamerot of Chronicon pontificum et imperatorum .
  • Produced ca. 1470 for Jacques d'Armagnac, executed for treason in 1477; the text was translated for Louis de Laval in 1458; in 1461, d'Armagnac received the duchy of Nemours and the county of the Marche.
  • Mamerot translated the base text from Martin of Troppau and updated it with sections from Bernard Gui, Werner of Lïge and others; ff. v-xii a table of contents in a modern hand; main text finishes on f. 235; on ff. 236-237, notes and inscription.
  • Layout: Written in 42 long lines per page, ruled in faint black ink. Prickings and some catchwords visible.
  • Decoration: Twenty-four miniatures. Some border designs contain animal figures. Gold initials on red and blue fields. Blue and red initials on gold fields.
  • Scribe: Barthélemy Cusinet?
  • Script: Written in littera cursiva textualis.
  • Artist: follower of Maître François.
