- Johannes Schedtler writes in the preface, ff. 7v-9, that because Luther's Betbuchlinof 1522 was out of print with no new edition planned, he copied this ms. for D. Schiltl. In Latin
- Layout: Written in up to 16 long lines per page, no visible ruling.
- Decoration: Each page has a figured border. 12 water-color drawings, 18 woodcuts and 12 water-color coats of arms. Gold highlights added to chapter headings and initials. Pen flourishes and other calligraphic ornaments.
- Scribe: Johannes Schedtler
- Script: Gothic.
- The text includes sections entitled "der zehn Gebote," " des Glaubens," "De Vatter unsers," and "des Ave Marien."
- ff. 1 and 144 have paper pasted to the outsides.
